Winner teachers visit to Estonia

On June 2-6 a study visit for school teachers takes place in Estonia. The visit is a part of the project “Teacher-a guide to Europe”, the aim of which is knowledge and experience sharing by Estonian side, as EU member country, as well as awareness raising on EU and popularization of European values.

Within the frames of the visit, the meeting took place in the Estonian Eastern Partnership office. During the meeting, the emphasis was made on the importance of digital world for education.

The meetings also took place with Laulazma and Klooga school teachers. The aim of the meetings was methodology and experience sharing with the teachers. The teachers had a chance to see school infrastructure and at the same time had conversation on the schools’ directions, working specifics, other priority issues with the school administration. Estonian schools got interested in exchange programs with the Georgian schools and agreed on future cooperation.

The teachers’ visit is ongoing. The meetings with the education system authorities as well as with the editor of the teachers’ newspaper in Estonia are planned. The aim of the meetings is to get information on programs and priorities as well as evaluation of the existing political and economic situation in the region. This in its turn will help the participants to better analyze the existing challenges and needs in Georgian schools on the way to European development.

The program comprises interesting cultural and cognitive activities. The Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership hosts the teachers. The study visit is organized by the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership and LELP “Information Center on NATO and EU” with the financial support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.

The study visit takes place for 10 winner teachers within the frames of the project “Teacher-a guide to Europe”. The project has been implemented for the 6th year in a row. The winners of the project are visiting Estonia for four consecutive years with the aim of experience exchange.
