Chairman of Strategic Research Center, Irakli Menagarishvili delivered a lecture on Historical overview of the founding of NATO at the first webinar.

The meeting took place with the participation of around 250 students and was moderated by the Director of Information Center on NATO and EU, Tamara Tsuleiskiri.

The full certificated course about NATO issues consists of five webinars and will enable students throughout Georgia to gain a historical overview of the founding of NATO, learn more about the aims and goals of the Alliance, as well as NATO's role in ensuring global security. Together with invited experts, discussions will be held on the dynamics of NATO-Georgia cooperation, future prospects and methods for fighting against Anti-Western propaganda.

The event is organized within the frames of the “Increasing Regional Outreach and Engagement over Western Integration” project, which was granted from the United States Department of State and implemented by the Information Center on NATO and EU together with the U.S. Embassy to Georgia.
